Everyone once in a while (if not often) feel like there’s something missing in their life. Like there’s a void to fill. Yet, you have absolutely no idea at times what that void is.
So you compensate, you start doing things that make you feel liberated. You start a new sport, you do something you normally wouldn’t do, you start listening to different genres of music. You start going to different clubs and pubs and hang out places to meet new people and get a different vibe, all because… There’s something missing and you don’t know what it is.
I’ll tell you what that void is… It’s love and happiness 🙂
The moment you feel like there’s something missing, it’s something within you that needs a wake up call – hence you start creating “shifts” in the external part of your life, thinking the internal will get “fixed”.
What if I told you, sometimes it doesn’t work? Sometimes, doing all the activities and all that effort doesn’t work? And it will leave you feeling even worse than before. Yet, sometimes doing those activities and putting all the effort in, creates an epiphany where you realize what has been needing a fix all along.
It all literally starts with you. You need to learn to love YOU and appreciate everything that you have and not dwell over what you don’t. You’re blessed in so many ways and you have no idea about it. Sit down, meditate, think about it all. Spend time alone with you. Figure out what you like and what you don’t and how you react to things and all that shabang! It will awaken you and make you realize that it’s actually not that bad!
When you establish why you’re feeling the way you are, it will then occur to you that all you needed to do was balance out your life. Your wants and needs, your likes and dislikes and the list is endless.
You need to find that balance – it’s all about balance. Literally.
