Day 2 – #NaBloPoMo

What’s my vice?

Most common question everyone asks me. Especially friends who drink or smoke.

And they continue… It can only be 4 things:

But here’s the thing, I don’t “party” every weekend. I go for specific events. And occasionally, and usually, when it’s been a heavy week at work, is when I have a serious urge to dance.

Music is my intoxication. I will, and usually do, get completely lost in it.

Being on the dance floor by yourself has got to be the best thing ever. The freedom of moving around (and the freedom of checking guys out as well!).

What’s the purpose of going out?
What’s your definition of “fun” when you go for a Kenya Nights event?

Usual answers… Getting pissed, getting high or leaving with someone.

The other percentage are purely there for the music with their added intoxication’s (at times).

Thing is, over the years my taste in music has changed…

Year by year… It went from pop to rock to trance to rap/hip hop then to RnB and has now weaved itself into deep house.

Being on XFM, of course I get my dose of rock and pop… Being on East FM reminds me of what amazing love songs are written and the progress and transition of music in the industry… Not to mention the bulb changing, dog patting music that always has my energy levels revived within seconds of hearing a dhol… Some balle balle has to happen!

I don’t think defining a night or a person based around a vice makes sense though.

I’m not a party animal. I just love to dance.

I’m taking part in the National Blog Posting Month! I’ve committed to posting something everyday till the 30th of November! Hope you enjoy the absolute random reads and would love feedback too! Feel free to drop a comment at the bottom.
